BEHIND THE SOUNDS

In search of meaning

My name: Mabel Castillo Fernández.  

My profession and way of understanding the world: music and classical guitar.

As a musician I go in search of the authentic sound.

I intend to understand music and that the public also comes to understand it, not only to enjoy it.

I want to speak with sounds as we speak with words, a very complex but incredibly exciting task. It's frustrating at times, let's not kid ourselves. It is not easy in a world where immediacy is of interest to try to work with time.

I love making videos in which, in addition to taking care of the sound aspect, I think about connecting the sound message or speech with the place where I record. I am also passionate about arranging or transcribing pieces for classical guitar for other instruments or orchestra and intensely studying what is hidden behind the sounds.
